TERMS & CONDITIONS
All quotes issued by a Day to Remember Event Hire are valid for 14 days.
Minimum $50.00 hire of all props, furniture and décor & $150.00 minimum prop hire to qualify for delivery/setup/pack down services and charges.
Any breakages, chips, loss or damage to the hired items will be charged to the hirer.
Confirmation of Booking
Upon confirmation of your booking by returning the signed booking form, a 50% deposit must be paid to secure your booking, with the final payment of 50% to be made 2 weeks prior to your event. Payment for your goods must be made by direct deposit.
If payment of your deposit is not received and you have not contacted us to confirm when this will be paid your items are not secured for your date and you may lose your items to another client.
The final payment of 50% is to be made 2 weeks before collection/delivery and must be paid by direct deposit. A refundable security bond is to be made with your final payment, the amount will be determined based on the items you have hired. This will be returned to your nominated bank account once all items have been returned and checked over by A Day to Remember Event Hire.
If discussed by prior arrangement, the bond paid in cash can be made on the day of collection/delivery however this may be returned to you via direct bank transfer if we cannot be there upon return of the items hired.
Condition of Goods
A Day to Remember Event Hire specialises in Vintage and Rustic pieces and our collection is combination of matching sets as well as individual pieces.
Some items will show some wear due to being pre loved vintage and rustic pieces. You may find some items such as silver or timber may become slightly worn with age, so you may find that these items are not perfect, however that does not mean they are not looked after it just means others have loved them as much as you will. We reserve the right to substitute items should the original items ordered not be available due to circumstances beyond our control.
DIY Booking’s are for a 4 day hire period. If hired goods are retained for a longer period without prior consent from A Day to Remember Event Hire you will be charged 50% of your total order for each extra day they are not returned.
If you wish to hire for longer than the standard hire period please request this at time of order and you will be provided with a quotation for the extra days of hire.
Delivery and Collection
We encourage customers to collect their hired goods at the arranged time as discussed with ‘A Day to Remember Event Hire’.
Please note that we are not a retail store so we are not open to the public, and we may not always be on site which is why a pickup time is always discussed prior to the day of pickup.
If you are going to be late to collect your items please call or text in advance so alternate arrangements can be made if necessary and to ensure any late collection charges are avoided.
We have the right to turn away any vehicles that are not suitable for collection of our items as the quality and safety of our items is our priority. If we need to do this we will have to arrange an alternate time for you to return to collect your items with a suitable vehicle.
If you are not sure on what vehicle you should be bringing to collect your hired items then please contact us prior to your day of collection.
Delivery of hired items can be arranged at the time the booking for orders over $150.00 with the additional delivery fee to be determined based on the location of delivery.
Breakages – Loss – Damages
We require your security bond to be paid when your final 50% payment is made, 2 weeks prior to your pickup/delivery of items.
This bond is to cover any breakages, chips, loss or damage of items hired.
Any breakages, loss or damage to the items hired will be reported to the hirer within 3 working days of its return and will be charged at full replacement cost as determined by A Day to Remember Event Hire which will be discussed with you once we have determined what this may be.
A higher bond may be charged based on certain items being hired or if it is a large order. This will be decided on upon time of booking by A Day to Remember Event Hire and the client will be notified.
Any glassware or china items returned with chips will be charged as broken.
If it is found, whilst conducting an inspection of returned items, that the items originally hired have been replaced with alternate items we will deduct the appropriate charge from the security bond. If the security bond does not cover the cost of these goods, we will send you an invoice for the items, payable within 7 days of your date of hire.
DO NOT leave outside any items that can get damaged due to weather conditions including but not limited to our Antique Lounge Suite items and Wooden Lawn Games such as Giant Connect 4 and Mega Jenga, Cushions, Rugs etc.
All items hired will be packaged carefully and must be returned to ‘A Day to Remember Event Hire’ in the same way including items that have been wrapped in packaging, bubble wrap etc.
You may be charged if packaging is lost and not returned whilst hired items are in your care.
This is important and their loss or damage will be charged at full replacement cost.
Our China is NOT dishwasher safe and damage will be caused if items are placed in a dishwasher. Please wash all of these items by hand.
Please DO NOT wash our Drink Dispensers if hired. We will do this for you, please just empty and place into the packaging they were collected in.
Please DO NOT clean the chalkboards hired. Please place back into the packaging they were collected in and we will clean them for you once returned. Please DO NOT use chalkboard paint or chalkboard textas on the chalkboards.
There are to be no Cigarettes or Red Wine on our Vintage Lounge Suite Items. Please DO NOT attempt to clean the fabric on our Lounge Suite items if they are stained during your hired period, we will assess this once returned and contact you if you will be charged a cleaning fee. If any damage to our Vintage Lounge Suite items exceeds the bond amount charged, an invoice will be issued for the remaining amount which will be payable within 7 days of issue.
Please make sure all food scraps and liquids have been removed from all surfaces of items hired before repackaging.
Items must be repacked and ready to go at the agreed pickup time if being collected by A Day to Remember Event Hire or additional fees may be charged.
Please make sure that any linen is dry and free of debris before being packed. These items are highly susceptible to mildew and any damage caused by mildew, cigarettes, candle burns or heavy staining will be charged at the full replacement cost.
Checking and Signing
It is very important that you check your items carefully upon collection. No discrepancies or faults will be accepted unless notified within 24 hours of the start of the hire period.
This contract is between ‘A Day to Remember Event Hire’ and the hirer and should not be used by any third party unless previously authorised by ‘A Day to Remember Event Hire’.
‘A Day to Remember Event Hire’ accepts no responsibility for damage or injury caused to person(s) or products as a result of this hire arrangement.
The hirer is responsible for the hired items from the time of collection or delivery until returned to ‘A Day to Remember Event Hire’.
Under no circumstances will items be left at unattended premises.
All items remain the property of ‘A Day to Remember Event Hire’.
Any person signing documents provided by ‘A Day to Remember Event Hire’ for and on behalf of the hirer hereby covenants with the owner that he/she has the authority of the hirer to make this agreement on the hirers behalf and is empowered by the hirer to bind the hirer to this agreement.
If you do not return the signed booking form/invoice prior to delivery or collection of your items and your items are still accepted for use then you will still be bound by these terms and conditions.
All cancellations of either full orders of part thereof must be made in writing by the hirer to ‘A Day to Remember Event Hire’ and the following charges will apply:
90 Days or more from the hire date- No charge and 50% deposit refunded
Between 30 – 89 Days from the hire date- 50% of total order will be charged (loss of deposit)
Between 14 – 29 Days from the hire date- 75% of total order will be charged
Between 0-13 days from the hire date- No refunds will be given and you will be charged 100% of your total order. This is due to the fact that these goods could not be supplied to another client.
